Just all the extra touches made it so nice. Great location, champage, chips, and lemonade and cookies complimentary each day. Ahmed was our server for breakfast every day and he was amazing. We ran out of time, but the dinner menu looked fantastic. Love the text messages we received throughout the day. We will return
Our family had a great time this weekend. All staff did a great job. Braze from valet was particularly helpful and engaging from greeting us to helping us with luggage to providing guidance around Charleston.
It’s a good hotel with beautiful, engaging art hanging everywhere, but I wasn’t overly impressed with the service, amenities, or food for the price. I came here for a business meeting, so we also utilized the meeting rooms and hotel dining during our stay. I wouldn’t stay here again, but it’s a fine hotel — I just expect more for over $700 per night. What went well: My room was quite spacious, with a lovely seating area overlooking the hotel's patio and street. The king bed and bedding were comfortable. The bathroom had good lighting and provided shampoo and conditioner, which seemed good quality. One evening, we had drinks at the bar, and the bartenders and cooks were incredibly accommodating, allowing some of our group to order late-night food and deliver it straight to the room. What could be improved: My grievances are small. However, at this price point, I expect things like a free water bottle in the room (which appeared the second night but wasn’t there the first night), a minibar in the room with some nonalcoholic drinks, and snacks available for purchase, cleanliness in the conference room (there were some pretzels and some discarded food on the floor under the table), and doors to be opened especially when we are walking in with all of our luggage with multiple valets attendants standing near the door. Also, during our meetings, the same basic food, steak and a white fish with breading, and the exact same sides, green beans and potatoes, were served at lunch and dinner. The potatoes were also served at breakfast. When lunch came around on day two, we opted to eat elsewhere.
