It was a pleasure to stay there for 4 days and 3 nights. The hotel is nice starting from the building and aesthetic interior design, very adequate facilities and supporting comfort. The staff and other employees are also very friendly and helpful, cleanliness is also good and ready. The restaurant menu there is also very varied, ranging from Indonesian, western cuisine to delicious snacks and desserts. The service is satisfactory and maybe will stay here again for the next vacation.
Alright, i have many pros and cons about my stay here : Pros : 1. Great room! Very wide, we chose to stay in the family room (apparently, the size is about 3 rooms) 2. They have electric stove so we can cook some food, and also a microwave. 3. Tvs in living room and bedroom 4. Great service and explanation from ms/mrs. Dinda (rcpsnst) Cons : 1. Their lift is too old. 1 is on maintenance, and theres another 1 but WAAYYY OLDER than the one i said old. It wouldnt even surprise me if i were to be stopped at 13th floor with the lights all turned off and saw some mtfkin ghost 2. The hall have no sound absorbant materials. Loud voices as if u were in abandoned building or in the valley 3. SMALL COCKROACH! at first we saw 1 adult small cockroach (not the type to grow big). I thought to myself, is it because of us? Like... this is the 20th floor :/ tho. And then we saw another one beside the tv. And another 2 veeerry small one (babies) in the kitchen. So yeah... definitely not us. When i complained about this to the receptionist girl at night shift 3rd april (not ms dinda). She offered a housekeeping to clean it or some sh*t, but i said no, its just 1 cockroach (at that time, we only found 1, and we have the video). She said we cant move to other rooms, bcos all room is full. But you know? When i check out 4th april, the guy in rcpsionist said "why dont you ask for a change room? WHAT... she said last night its full, yet he said as if theres another room slot that night :/ And today i checked in ticket com, theres also 1 review at dec 2024, also complain about cockroach. So i thought... u guys didnt take this problem very seriously dont ya... much dissapointment, mate. Dont underestimate them. I would be ENRAGED if YOUR COCKROACH CRAWLING TO OUR STUFF, AND MOVED TO OUR VEHICLE! PLEASE DO SOMETHING WITH THAT 4. Walls and floors kinda dirty (mybe because old building 5. I expect a 4 star hotel to have their own pool, mate..... the pool also cojoined with other apartment 6. There's no lifeguard or someone to watch over the pool. WE WANT A FREAKING TOWEL TO DRY UP MAN. I have to dry myself with the wind 👍. We cant find a single staff there for almost an hour. 7. The parking lot is small. We actually not allowed to park in front of a supermarket (which is still inside the same area 😂), they said our cars might get locked by them 😂🤡. What a joke 8. Might need to upgrade the tv to a smart one, mate. These days we just need youtube or netflix. Its not 2015 anymore Neutral : We didnt book a room with breakfast, so we dont know much about the food, but quite a great gelato they have. Friendly staff, would be a great companion to talk to i think 👍. Would i come back there? Definitely a no, many great hotels there with same prices with better facilities and services. We expect too much, yet it really2 bring us down
Hello there! I stayed at this hotel with someone from the 14th to the 16th of April 2025. I booked the ‘Deluxe Suite Twin’ room on the 28th floor with breakfast included. In this review, I will focus on reviewing the hotel's rooms using three categories: cleanliness, utilities, and comfort. I will finish this review with some opinions and additional experience staying at this hotel. First, regarding the room cleanliness itself, it is the worst room I have ever stayed in for the duration. Not only is the room dusty, but there is an infestation of bugs in the room. I was overwhelmingly shocked by this. Never have I stayed in a hotel this dirty. This also includes the bathroom area in the room where bugs are crawling. Other problems are the bed sheets, which are not your typical clean and white sheets but are a bit stained yellow and seemingly in a “used” condition. This is one of the major downfalls of this hotel: “hygiene & cleanliness”. Second, for the utilities of the hotel room, you get your basic shower room with a seated toilet. Then you get a small TV which is quite ‘broken’ and a kitchen with a small fridge, microwave, and electric stove. There are also wardrobes, a couch, and a dining table for the room option I chose during our stay at this hotel. Sadly, hair dryers were not available in our room. The Wi-Fi was also not that good, it had frequent connection issues during my stay. Overall, it is a decent setup, but with how many bugs were crawling around, it did not feel comfortable at all. Third, for the comfort itself, the bed was at least comfy, except for the sheets. Other than that, there were no notable ‘comforting’ experiences during my stay. Well, we could at least see the nice view of Dufan/Ancol and the busy city of Jakarta. During our stay, breakfast was mid, it was not anything special, and thank God, there was a convenience store nearby the hotel for us to buy some necessities. The food prices and room service are a tad expensive. There was a swimming pool area, but I would not call it a “swimming” pool, more like a place where you can just dip and get out. The hallways near our room did not smell good, and there was a smell of cigarettes sometimes if you went down the lobby. I also felt like they were short on hotel staff, specifically for room service and the café, including the dining area in the lobby. In summary, The pros: - An ‘okay’ location, near an amusement park. - Choose a high floor, if possible, for a decent view of the city. - A decent number of utilities are available in the hotel room. The cons: - Despite being a 4-star hotel, I would rate it a 1- or 2-star hotel due to the insane hygiene problem this hotel has. - Bug infestations. - Expensive room prices and room service menus. - A shortage of hotel staff. - Outdated furniture. If you ask me if I will stay at this hotel again? I will say NO due to my experience. It’s overpriced, not hygienic, and nothing special, really, for a 4-star hotel. I’m quite surprised they did not go under. Well, goodbye then Grand Dafam Ancol Jakarta hotel. But hey, if you are reading up until now, maybe you can take a chance at this hotel?
