Had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Mona who warmly welcomed us during breakfast — she was truly attentive and made our morning better. The hotel has a classic feel, though some areas could use brighter lighting. Facilities were good, breakfast was tasty with nice variety. I was also lucky to get a connecting room, which is often hard to find in other hotels. Overall, a great experience!

Utter disappointment – international travelers should steer clear from this place! As an avid traveler, I love to check out new local hotels, yet I have never experienced something as disgraceful as Grand Diamond Hotel Yogyakarta. This place is a spectacle of failure, where neglect, mismanagement, and apathy have taken the reins. Despite being half-abandoned, the management is absurdly rigid. Room change request? Denied. Connecting room request, even though the adjacent room is vacant? Also denied. It’s as if the staff take pride in making guests’ stays as inconvenient as possible. This level of inflexibility and indifference has no place in the hospitality industry. As for facilities—what facilities? The executive lounge is closed. The lobby lounge is closed. The gym is closed. If you wish to relax and grab some drinks after a long day, BEWARE that there is NO bar whatsoever. Housekeeping? Unprofessional! Even after specifically requesting room cleaning, the room was left untouched. Towels are not replaced unless you hunt down the staff yourself. Yet, despite failing at even the most basic hospitality standards, the hotel still has the audacity to disturb guests with pointless upselling calls. It’s almost laughable how they can be so proactive in trying to squeeze more money out of guests while failing to provide the bare minimum. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy disappointment.
