Grand Erbil Hotel

Very dirty mat, bed , toilets. No AC even though we complained, he said it is central ac and we are not feeling it. Bad breakfast. Telephone not working.

I booked this hotel because it was near to the Airport. While that is true, this is perhaps the only good thing I have to say about it. The room was not clean, with hair already on the floor of the bathroom. The toilet didn't flush. The bathtub didn't drain well, leaving a puddle at your feet. The carpets were dirty, the sheets had holes in them. I woke up in the morning because the air conditioning was so weak the room turned into an oven. The only comfort is that nobody tried to scam us or steal our stuff. Which you'd think would be table stakes but perhaps not in this case. Would absolutely not recommend.

The hotel is disgraceful. First we were given a room without a window which made you feel like you were in prison. To get a room with daylight you have to pay an extra 240,000 tenge. The breakfast is very poor, if something is missing it is not refilled, you have to force the staff to refill it. The room cleaningservice did not clean thoroughly broken glass was found for three days even though they said the room had been cleaned. The rooms are very noisy. We would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We were here in September 2024
