The room was clean and the staff very friendly. The faucet in our room was barely a trickle of water though and noise carried through the wall in the bathroom. But other than that it was a wonderful experience and would stay here again
I say this is probably one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. The communication of this resort is sub par. First of all we have a total on 14-15 room that we’re prepaid directly through the hotel. We were coming to celebrate my wife abuelita 95th birthday. When my mom showed up a day early they could not find any of our reservations in the system. We had to call the sales manager. This caused us all stress at 8 am before 14 rooms arriving the next day. Luckily they made us reservations. But they did not have her bed type she booked. They moved her to her bed type the next day. When she tried posting charges to her room they said she was denied. Causing embarrassment for her in the restaurants. I her took on her charges because the front desk turned off charges. I came back to the hotel last night and the hotel authorized more money on my mother’s credit card. This is where I stepped in. Because now I am spending time away from my family to fix things. I told them to work directly with me from now on and look what they do they talk to my mom this morning and say we are comping breakfast for 2 days without even talking to me. Again, COMMUNICATION IS AWFUL HERE. Higher end hotel but SERVICE AND COMMUNICATION IS HORRIBLE. Our family is never coming back and we will share this with everyone. It is sad because we stayed at multiple Fiestas and this one is the WORST.
We were given a room that was occupied, so we walked in on people. That room was 2 queens, we reserved 1 king. They kindly gave us a free upgrade. Unfortunately, the AC in the upgraded room smelt aweful as if they do not change the filters nor clean they system. The room itself was very clean but needed renovation. I did not use the tub in the room because it omitted an odor as if it needed replacing. THE POOL IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION. Only 1/3 of it is in use. We made the reservation because of the pool. They should have a notification that the pool is under construction during this time. The view from the pool area is also blocked by the construction of a structure. It's far from being completed. It is not worth what we paid. Not even the upgrade. In Cancun or even the USA, you can get a far nicer room for the same price. Veracruz port is inexpensive. You can find much better hotels for 1/4 of the price. The good thing is the view, the staff and the restaurant. The food in the restaurant was excellent, and the service was amazing. Overall, we were very disappointed. The hotel was nice 15 years ago. Time to remodel or lower the rate.
