Grand Hotel Astrakhan

We stayed at Marins Grand Hotel - Astrakhan in June of this year. We forgot personal belongings in the hotel (jewelry). As a result of the work carried out by the hotel security service, the jewelry was found and returned to the owners in full. We express our deep gratitude to the Director of the Security Service Nikulin Oleg Leonidovich and the Head of Security Gnilitsky Sergey Ivanovich for the prompt work they did. The jewelry was found in less than a day from the moment the information was received by the security service! Nice friendly friendly hotel Rooms are clean spacious enough but bath rooms are a bit small Restaurant on 1 st floor has a great Volga view and nice piano Food is good but simple A great advantage is the free clothes washing service and the free pool and sauna access The other side of the hotel provides a non touristic view of the opera and in the distance of the Kremlin

Very bad hotel. This is not 5 stars at all, even three stars are better. We checked in at 1am. No one meets us, no one helps with luggage. Finding places to pack is a real quest. We booked a standard room, at first they settled us on the 5th floor (probably a better category - I don't know) but there the pump in the toilet was constantly turning on and it was impossible to sleep in this noise. The furniture is as old as in the rest of the hotel, the air conditioning control was living out its last days))) They asked us to move to a room where the pump does not constantly make tractor sounds, they moved us to the 2nd floor to a room without a pump. But the curtains are what they are. They let in all the light, it is impossible to sleep in the morning. The mattress and pillows are not comfortable .. everything is somehow old and cheap. The furniture and plumbing are worn out. It is better to choose another hotel.
