Grand Hotel Belle Vue

A wonderfully comfortable, well run hotel in the Belle Epoque central area of De Haan. We stayed in a premium triple room (205) with a spacious double bed and a separate room off with another single in. The bathroom was spacious and luxuriously appointed with jacuzzi bath/shower and double sink. All very clean. We enjoyed a balcony overlooking the street where you could people watch and were able to enjoy a Saturday night jazz band concert from at the neighbouring bar. As it is in town there is a little noise compared to a residential area but you could close the windows and use the air conditioning at night. The breakfast is extremely high quality, the best we have had in 10 years for a continental breakfast. The only hot items on the menu are pre-cooked bacon, fried eggs and small omelettes, but there is a wonderful choice of breads, pastries, 5+ hams, 5+ cheeses, smoked salmon etc. A fruit salad plus 3 other fruit items, cava, freshly squeezed orange and apple juice. Service is very good but unobtrusive. Can't recommend this hotel highly enough!

Pros: location is perfect just in front the central plaza and in the hearth of all stores. Also walking distance to the train stations. It’s an historical building as even Mozart stayed one month in this hotel. Breakfast is amazing with high superior French ingredients and style. Staff is so welcoming. Cons. Maintenance it’s not perfect but in average good enough.

It's a wonderful hotel fur sure but I doubt that Mozart ever stayed here as this hotel was built long after his death. I also doubt th 'get your refund and go away' story. My experience here is that both staff and management go out of there way to make your stay remarkable. I will definitely return.
