The hotel and the room were very clean. The room and bathroom were big enough. Staff was very polite and friendly, we even got complementary drinks since it was my birthday. Location very close to the city and the lake. Air conditioning worked which was great since it was very hot outside. The hotel offers also paid outside parking but we chose to use the big public parking next to it which was cheaper.
Wonderful experience at Grand Hotel Bregenz. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and pleasant. Love that they offer L'occitane lime of products. Location is unbeatable; close to the Opera stage, lake promenade where all the activity is, train station (sound unnoticeable), amd freeway access is nearby. If you're attending the opera, hotel offered a welcome gift of seating pad, binoculars, as well as L'occitane care package and a sleeping mask. Such details are such a warm welcome and leaves great feelings about their care and service. Lobby offers fresh fruit (apples), water and welcome prosecco! Enjoyed my stay, and if I'm back in Bregenz, I will certainly stay here again. By the way, casino is next to the hotel but not in the same building.
Lovely stay at Bregenz and a lovely hotel. At the entrance, we were greeted by many beautiful works of art, which made a great impression. As we forgot our phone chargers, we used the charging station at the reception and charged during breakfast and dinner - quick charging was sufficient to get us through the weekend. We were lucky to arrive on the weekend of the Spring Festival, so we had some entertainment 5-10 minutes away on foot. In the same area is the Beach, but as it is under renovation until 2026, we did not use it. It looks like it could be a lot of fun, with slides, pools, the ake, restaurants... The restaurant in the hotel operates only for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights, which was helpful. Right next door is the Casino, which has a Restaurant of its own and gets a higher rating, but we didn't try it. Maybe next time! We truly enjoyed the breakfast selection and were satisfied with the offering and the gluten-free options. The breakfast staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a fitness room, a sauna and a small pool, which we used. The pool was small and if 4 people were using it, it could get a bit crowded. The hotel is right next door to the famous Music Hall and has a big parking lot, which is great (however it is not covered, so your car is at the mercy of the weather). We took a room with a balcony, which was great, we could enjoy some sunshine while having coffee and reading, looking at the greenery. The hotel is just 200m away from the train station and 10-15 minutes away from the centre. There, you can eat in a variety of restaurants and shop from the local artisans. Kids played in the local fountain, fishing for rubber duckies, it was awesome. In the town, you can take a gondola up the hill, where you can have a picnic and enjoy the wonderful views of the four neighbouring countries. A must-visit place and we will most definitely be back!
