A group of us has been every year for 15 years and LOVE it. Great location, wonderful food, charming and highly professional staff. Still run by the same family that built it, so great atmosphere. Very Italian seaside holiday culture - rooms fairly simple (but always spotless, with good quality sheets & towels) but why would you spend time in your room when the hotel has its own beach (with an excellent bar & restaurant of its own) and a good pool? Most of our group travel on business so have lots of experience of hotels, and we all rate The Grand as one of our favourites. VERY child friendly, btw. Top tip: let Mimo, the maitre d'hotel, recommend food & wine!
My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights in May 2024. Overall, I was happy with the experience. We had a room on the east side facing the beach. The room was comfortable. The bathroom wasn't cramped and was well lit and clean. IMO the room was a little small for the price. The elevators worked and were clean. The staff are what you would expect at a 4* hotel, very courteous and attentive. We had a problem with the AC when we got there, but it was corrected. Breakfast was great. We ate dinner at the hotel several times. The food was good and the service excellent. They have a dessert buffet with a good selection.
