Grand Hotel de l'Opera BW Premier Collection

In all my travels, I've rarely experienced the level of warm, capable, genuinely kind service that my friend, Ann, and I received at this hotel. Plus, the location is perfectly situated in the heart of the city and our room was spacious and beautiful, overlooking the Place du Capitole. We could walk easily to key sights. Among the wonderful staff, I need to shout out a few particularly special people. Jeanne went the extra mile (kilometer?) every step of the way, researching train schedules, booking tickets to Carcassonne, suggesting the best macarons, and smiling as though nothing were too much to ask. Valentin smiled kindly through my mistakes speaking French and helped us plot Bastille Day and Tour de France activities. Too bad we had to leave just before the cyclists came through....right under our hotel window! Clara and Maurine helped us plan a lovely day trip to Albi, with helpful local knowledge. We must have drunk more water than anyone at the hotel, and Angel cheerfully filled our bottles each time. Thank you, Hotel de l'Opera! We found the people in Toulouse to be incredibly warm and kind. Your hotel made our visit extra wonderful. Highly recommend.

Fine stay at Hotel Opera in Toulouse, Fance. Central location adjacent to Capital. Quiet, efficient, very helpful. Manuel at the registration desk helped us get 4 restaurant seats at prime time, before we knew how such things are managed. Manuel also provided helpful information, answered tourist type questions, a real aide to our multi-day stay. This hotel's location aided our ability to travel by walking this historic section of the city. We stay before and after our other trips away from the city and on flight arrival and departure dates. All good in a classic hotel.

This place lied to me and ripped me off when my plans changed because of a major power outage at London Heathrow. I checked out one day early and was mindful to talk to the desk first - they said I had to call booking.com for a one night refund. An hour later, I found that booking could not convince this hotel to authorize payment and they have a 24-hour early checkout. I have never been so lied to and manipulated by a cheap and dishonest hotel. Plus, the rooms are small and uncomfortable and the place reeks of a depressing comfort inn that’s barely hanging on. Avoid at all costs.
