AVOID!!! Worst experience ever. PURE LIARS. They do NOT provide basic services, they promised on website/booking. It seems like polish pilgrim is third category guest, right after dogs, and far after individual guests... Room in the basement (not a problem, just wish to be clear). Visited 7th-9th July, over 30 deg outside, and close inside. 1. Air conditioning was turned off. there is termostat in each room. Lady told me that people were complaining for cold, so they torned it off🤔I have asked everyone, noone was there🤢. Before midnight I came again and said I cannot sleep because of temperature. She told me there are no moskitos so I can open the window. At 3.30 I was killing 3rd moskito, and few others bitten me and my wife. If they deny I'll enclose pictures. Second day I said I wasn't sleeping almost all night, that it was HOT. Receptionist told me that she had open window and she slept well. SIC!!! I wasn't really curious how she slept, I was asking for air conditioning in the middle of july in Italy. They turned in on next day, but for an hour (it smelled like septic tank). And then again off. Arround 5 my wife was looking for something to cover, it was getting cold. Strange but this people doesn't understand that AC provide comfortable temperature no matter if it hot or cold outside. 2. Wi-fi works an hour or 3 minutes after restart archaic access point (mostly 3 min), so I was restarting it 5-6 times to check mail and answear some. It's basement, so no range. First night we needed to work an hour, so we went outside to use our own connection. But to sit outside (on char, you can sit on the graund arround parking for free) is allowed if you order something in the bar. 3. They do NOT speak English and German for sure. Noone!!! I tried when they were 4 (bar tender, receptionist, and 2 others) NOONE, NOTHING. We spoke thru Google translator. Hotel has of course good sides, but if car cannot ride, I do not care about capacity of trunk. It would be probably better if I wrote it in polish , but please read their answers to their guests witch were not pleased, then you'll understand. I wanted to go somewhere else for second night, but my wife said we will survive one more night, and it will be situation to explane to the group. I'll never be back there!!! I also advise all crew to come to Poland and see what 4stars really means. Remember only to use slings for jaw. You will be so shocked you may dislocate it for long time.

Look at the comments this hotel has made on previous posts. It’s ridiculous. The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It's an old, outdated, run-down hotel. The location is also horrible. Please try to find another hotel. There are many better hotels in the lower town at a cheaper price and the location would be much better. Be sure to check how it is currently look like on Google Maps. It’s very different from the pictures they posted by themselves. I am leaving this comment because not only the hotel location and environment were not good, but the staff service was the worst. If you ask things the hotel receptionist in English, she will tell you that she can’t understand. When I asked the defects in the room the hotel receptionist replied “it’s not my problem.“ (?) I payed for breakfast all week, but it was a waste of money. I realized once again that hotels are really important during travel. Absolutely not recommended here. Go to other new hotels for the same price. If the hotel comments with lies, I have all the evidence of my worst experience.

Although we just visited San Giovanni for a daytrip, without staying in this hotel, i still have to comment: The hotel is running a parking scam. There are two guys at the entrance (looking like officials – yellow jacket and whistle), stopping the cars passing nearby to park there. They ask for 3 EUR and telling, that the other parking is all closed. They mention, that the santuario is 300 m away, which is also not true. We have stopped here, than quickly realized, that it is scam, so we were leaving and that’s where these two lads become agressive. There were some shouting etc, than we left. It is a joke, that a 4star hotel can afford such a disgusting behaviour for 3 (three!) EUR. Build in the 3 EUR into your room prices… Checking the reviews, i’m not the first one commenting on this.
