Grand Hotel di Parma UNA Esperienze

Great hotel in an old building, lovely high ceilings in room. Unfortunately I was only here one night. It is a 15 minute walk to the cathedral but still a decent quiet area. Lovely big bathroom with double shower.

Very good hotel but a little far from the city. Large and comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately they put us in a room with a broken air conditioning on a hot summer day and said it was a problem with the machine and that all the rooms were like that. The breakfest had many options to choose from but the Coffee was cold.

Very disappointing stay. We booked for 2 nights at the hotel. The air conditioning didn’t work and the shower area didn’t drain, leaving the bathroom flooded. We left the room after we checked in and didn’t return until late at night. We thought the aircon will cool the room down but it didn’t work the whole night. We didn’t want the hassle of changing rooms, so we didn’t report it as it was late. The next day, we decided to check out due to the poor condition of the room. We explained the issue to the front desk and requested that the hotel to charge us for 1 night only but the front desk was dismissive and blamed us for not informing them earlier, no apology, no responsibility. We were subsequently offered a one-night voucher, which made no sense since we said we wouldn’t return. The hotel is far from Parma’s old town, and the building used to be a hospital, which shows in its cold atmosphere. Overall, poor facilities and worse service. Do not stay at this hotel.
