Grand Hotel Don Juan

Although the hotel is beautiful and bright, the rooms are dated. However, the rooms are large and have amazing air conditioning, as well as WiFi in the room and throughout the whole hotel. The pool area is lovely, and so is the amazing white sand beach which is just across the road. We had a few problems with dinner, but the staff couldn't do enough to try and help the situation. Overall a lovely place to stay.

Rated as a 4 star… service was a 5star. Food was a 5star. But the building is in need of major update. 4 stars 30 years ago with updated room tvs to led at 15 inch. Pool is amazing Food in hotel and on beach is amazing. Beach and water worth adding 3 more days for.

A symbol of lost glory The good The hotel is nicely situated right on the beach. While it's away from the center of Giulianova, the center can be quite easily reached on foot. The staff is friendly and eager to help. Even though we didn't use it, the pool looks clean. We had the royal room with sea view which was very big and could easily accommodate two more people if needed. The bad The reception and other common areas look good, the same can not be said about the rooms. These seem to have been last renovated in the 70's and lack any kind of amenities. For example a small coffee maker or a launch chair to enjoy the sea view would have been nice. The ugly Saying the walls are made of paper would be doing them a favor. This was amplified by the party going on downstairs until one in the morning, making it impossible for us to sleep. While annoying in its own right, this was once again amplified by the lack of insulation in the room. Meaning we were unintentionally waken up by the neighbors earlier than we had intended. Conclusion If you love the beach and are willing to make concessions to have beach access, this might be the hotel for you. For people looking to enjoy a relaxing stay, we would advice you to keep looking.
