Hotel was generally great - complementary breakfast with our reservation was good. Rooms were a bit small but clean. One problem was dealing with heat - When we were though it was super hot - 80+ for 3 days straight - although the staff gave us a fan, it was just not enough and the central AC was just utterly useless. When asked the staff told us it was due to some Swiss regulations they can’t lower the AC below 23 degrees, but our room was probably at 34-37 throughout our stay.

The location is great but I wouldn't stay there again! Old hotel with creeky floors. The bathroom was small and the glass shower only had half glass so the bathroom floor was soaked! The breakfast buffet was one step above a low end hotel. Food was bland and wasn't replenished enough. Bread was not soft (old) and fruit was canned! Really, canned peaches!! Weird! I'd give this a 3 star hotel at best.

Great location and friendly staff, but far from a true 4-star experience. The hotel has a few positives: the staff were generally friendly and helpful, the location is quite central, just a 20 to 25 minute scenic walk around the lake, and it offers free parking, which is convenient. However, the overall experience was disappointing and not at all aligned with the 4-star rating or the $500+ per night price tag. The facilities are modest at best, with average (if not outdated) vanities, and a breakfast buffet that felt more like a canteen than a premium service. The room and common areas lacked the quality and comfort you would expect at this level. One particularly surprising moment was being woken up at 8 a.m. for room service, something I have never encountered at any hotel before. Overall, the hotel feels like a basic 3-star property overstating its quality to justify luxury prices. Sadly, I left feeling overcharged and underwhelmed.
