Grand Hotel Francia & Quirinale

We stayed in this elegant, tastefully furnished hotel for a week with my wife. They have comfortable beds, very clean rooms. Professional and very friendly staff with excellent knowledge and always happy to help. They even went extra mile to meet our dietary requests and offered vegan options for breakfast. Hotel terrace and swimming pool area add extra points.

Fantastic hotel! Classical, but modern. Food was amazing- plus they had tons of gluten free options for my wife and daughter. The pool was beautiful and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. Easy walk to the city center- shops, restaurants, gelato. Also an easy walk to the funicular to Montecatini Alto.

Don’t be fooled the stars they have on the sign on the outside of the hotel, this is not a four star hotel. We stayed two nights here because we were in town for a wedding and when we got to the hotel the staff told us they had upgraded our room, which we were thrilled about. Unfortunately, that is where the upgrades stopped. The room was spacious and bigger than what we had booked, but it was not equipped like a four star hotel should be. There were dirty/damp towels left from the previous guests, there were no cups, coffee machine, or kettle, no information booklet/menu, the mini bar was stocked only with two waters, and the AC wasn’t turned on until the second day of our stay. The staff were the one aspect of the hotel that lived up to its supposed four stars. They were all very kind, helpful, and professional. If you are looking for a four star hotel, I would recommend staying elsewhere.
