Grand Hotel Lamezia

Location wise it's great. It's some minutes or let me say a few seconds walk away from thee train station (better still opposite it). However, I didn't spend the night in any of the rooms. 😊Since I arrived early morning to Lamezia I decided to have breakfast at their restaurant. The food and service was great. But the toilet/washroom was not and I'll tell you why. First there was only one toilet and one had to join a queue to use it 😏. Also, it had no tissues/toilet rolls and was generally unclean. Unfortunately I can't share a pic since I didn't go in with my phone.

It was worst than last time I've been there, this time even the night slippers weren't available. The only positive point is the proximity of train station and airport. The rooms are old, the bed and furniture are ugly and uncomfortable. The restaurant food is less than average, the dessert was so hard that was difficult to eat. Not recommended unless you need to go to the airport very early in the morning. The taxi ride is only a few minutes for €15. During normal day times there is a regular minibus for €1.5

The Grand hotel is anything but grand our first night here! Our room was hot and stuffy. The bathroom was tiny and very humid and it smelled. Air-conditioning barely worked. Low end of hotel chain. We stayed at Bram hotel on our way out just past the train station, better and cleaner rooms!
