Grand Hotel Lund

Amazing hotel! Beautiful rooms, very nice restaurant and good food. There was no one in reception once we arrived for 10 min or so, other than that everything was wonderful ❤️. I don't know about you, but we are definitely coming back! ❤️

I am visiting this hotel after my last stay 38 years ago. Lund had changed and it's increasingly a tech and corporate hub plus the University. The Grand Hotel has been around for over 150 years and they have done a great job trying to preserve the decor and use a lot of Scandinavian style art and locally made furniture . The rooms are even more classic and you will feel part of history. The hotel is walkable from the train station. An easy 30 minute train ride from Copenhagen Airport. It looks like the hotel and it's restaurants are popular both with visitors and local Lund residents. Though we didn't eat here, I was told the whiskey flavored meat balls are a must try and were invented by a hotel guest. I am glad I visited the hotel again after decades.

The Grand Hotel Lund delivered one of the most unexpectedly delightful hotel stays of our lives. First off, Betty at the front desk deserves a medal. Warm, thoughtful, and full of heart—she made us feel like family from the moment we walked in. The kind of welcome that turns a trip into a memory. We stayed in Room 152, which in my humble opinion might just be the crown jewel of the hotel. No air conditioning, but with the windows open and the early April breeze drifting in, it was downright magical. Now—let’s talk about the shower. I am not exaggerating when I say this: it changed my life. Halfway through it, I found myself repeatedly saying “Oh my God” out loud. More than once. Maybe more than five times. It was that good. The water pressure, the temperature, the sheer bliss of it all—I may never look at a shower the same way again. The location? Absolutely perfect. You’re tucked right in the heart of Lund, close to everything, yet somehow it still feels peaceful and unrushed. This isn’t just a hotel. It’s a little slice of Scandinavian magic. We’ll be back—and I’m requesting Room 152 again.
