Grand Hotel Masseria Santa Lucia

Gorgeous property but management/staff are not very helpful or communicative. We had our wedding there and trying to get details nailed down was nearly impossible. A lot of the time it felt like they were responding without really answering our questions/concerns. They also have ceased all communication with us since and refused to give me the contact information of the photographer they arranged for us, so we haven't gotten all our photos despite the wedding being 4 months ago.

We wouldn't stay here again. Our main problem, which they don't advertise, is that the water is not drinkable. It is salt water. They charge a lot for water, which means you have to buy it at a grocery store if you don't want to pay their high prices. It's not conveniently located to public transport, and I would advise you get a rental car if you are going to stay here. The rooms are decent, but breakfast is quite lacking. The saving grace of this location is the excellent pool.

This is a remote from town location. There is a public bus, and taxis to town were quoted at E50 one way. Pool is great and a nice swimming spot by the sea. One returant so book early. 3 bars. If we had booked a 2 star then the rating would match. the expectations. Just a bit rough and tired for a 4 star. Food good, most of the time.
