Grand Hotel Menaggio

We stayed 4 nights with a 2 year old and found the hotel fantastic in several ways. Friendly, service-minded staff, great location with respect to a great playground, lively city square, pool and ferry terminals for day trips. We'll come back if we return to the area.

We had an amazing stay here. The mountain and lake view from our room was beautiful. Delicious breakfasts each morning with the friendly and attentive service of Asha greeting us with her warm smile was the perfect start to each day.

If you can afford it pay extra to get a lake view room. Regardless, you will find an excellent restaurant for breakfast or dinner and wonderful service from the ever-friendly staff. The poolside aperitivo hour should not be missed. A bus stop across the road and a ferry terminal alongside the hotel make this a tremendously convenient location for visits to other lakeside towns and villages. Menaggio itself is much less crowded than, say, Bellagio so you may not want to leave. My wife and I would not stay anywhere else in this beautiful area.
