Grand Hotel Michelacci

The location is great, near the beach. You only have to take a step. All the restaurants are near. The breakfast is to sweet, bread and sugar. But it is continental. Reception is nice and friendly. Rooms are beautiful, but the walls are to slim. Overall it was great. Good job!

Very much an art deco period building with very little having been updated since the initial construction. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The kosher programme on half board, is very mixed. Breakfast is terrible, no fresh breads and only long life milk. Scrambled eggs are made from pasteurised eggs (based on the taste of the product). The variety of jams is good, but there is only salted butter - non a good combination. Fresh fruit was mediocre and the cut up varieties were full of fruit flies. Really not appealing. The dinners were altogether different. Good home style cooking and plenty of it. The fruit were the same as breakfast, and the salads were usually undressed cut up vegetables. Nevertheless, we enjoyed every supper and ate plenty. Our room had an amazing sea view, and a huge balcony which we really loved. Cleanliness is average and we needed to ask for toilet and facial tissues to be replenished twice during our week long stay. Location is unbelievable. Price is OK for Italy, but you can certainly get more bang for your buck in other countries. On the whole, it was perfect for what we needed and would certainly return.

The hotel is in a good location. The rooms are not clean, the walls are moldy! The old lady at the reception was rude and spoke humiliatingly to the guests and the employees! I do not recommend it to anyone
