Grand Hotel Misurina

The hotel delivered everything it promised. While it’s a bit older, and has its charming, still well-maintained and the room was very comfortable. It can hear a bit of noise when people pass in front of the room but not alarming. I didn’t experience any of the issues mentioned in some other reviews—luckily for me! One small suggestion: it would be helpful to have a sign in the spa area reminding guests to keep their voices down in the sauna. There was a group of ladies talking loudly and continuously, which disrupted the relaxing atmosphere. - Perfect location for the tre cime! Apart from the location, there is nothing good about this hotel. The hotel is old and desperately need renovation. The wooden furniture are old and falling apart. The shower is small. The space between the shower and the toilet is so small that a big size adult could hardly sit on the toilet! We stayed in 2 rooms. A 'Suite with Lake View' and a 'Superior Triple Room with Lake View'. When we booked the rooms it was clearly stated on all booking agents' websites that the Superior Triple Room with Lake View is more expensive than the Suite with Lake View. However, during our check-in at the hotel, the receptionists informed us the the Suite with Lake View is the best room they have and therefore is more expensive than the other room! We failed to understand the logic of this as the Suite is smaller than the Triple room. Also there is no full lake view from the Suite as part of it is blocked by the hotel building. My wife and I stayed in the Suite and ended up paying more than our friends. Either the websites are misleading or something wrong with the hotel internal communication. We had dinner in this hotel and the quality of the food was poor. The buffet breakfast was also poor quality and not much choice. This hotel is worse than a 2-stars hotel and it is absolutely not worth paying that much money for it.

This hotel is not like what it had advertised. The rooms were old and the bathroom ran out of hot water the first night we arrived. Make sure to shower relatively fast or you’ll have to wash in icy cold water. The service staff in front were not helpful. It was very much the vibe of “too bad! You already paid and can’t get refunded. This is what you get.” One particular staff member was very rude to us as well. Views are pretty but not worth the pricing or experience. Would definitely not recommend this place.
