Grand Hotel Orient Braila

The hotel shows 4 stars but it is a modest hotel of 3 in my opinion. Corridor, rooms, open spaces like the restaurant are dark and the furniture are old style. I found the room cleaned but in the toilet several hairs. Towel small and old. Breakfast: nothing special but there is something of everything. Suggested for very short period.

Grand Hotel Orient Brăila is located on the banks of the Danube, but don’t expect breathtaking river views from every room. Despite booking a room on the second floor with a "view of the Danube," all I could see was a construction site, some buildings and trees. The hotel is rated 4 stars, but in my opinion, it barely deserves 3. A 4-star hotel should at least have a functioning elevator, which was not the case here. The bathroom had a flickering neon light, which gave off a very 1980s vibe, and the furniture looked equally outdated. The mattress was uncomfortable, and the bed creaked with every movement, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. It felt like a journey back in time, but not in a good way. On the positive side, the breakfast was rich and delicious, and the hotel offers free, spacious parking, which is a definite plus. However, overall, the hotel falls short of its 4-star rating.

We had a really, really bad experience. We are photographers and we were booked there by our groom for two nights during the weekend. 1. They had a wedding in the ballroom and strong volume during the first night until the morning. I slept but my colleague didn't. 2.We were booked for a twin bedroom and we've got a double. 3. IN THE ROOM 102 THEY HAVE BEDBUGS!!! I am bitten on my body by bedbugs from a four stars hotel. Is that good enough? I will never sleep again there!
