Grand Hotel President Olbia

The location is excellent, right in the city center, with a pleasant view. The staff is friendly and kind. However, the hotel clearly shows signs of age and lack of maintenance. While it might have been very nice when it was first opened, now everything feels worn out and many things are broken. The cleanliness is below expectations. Sound insulation is very poor — you can hear every noise from other floors, and the windows offer no protection from outside noise like street traffic or nearby parties. The breakfast is disappointing, with fermented fruit and very limited choices. Out of 56 rooms, there are only 10 parking spots, which is far from sufficient. Overall, the value for money is poor, and the experience does not justify the price.

This is an old hotel, and it comes with all the typical issues you’d expect. The wardrobes had a musty smell, the bedspread was stained, and the street noise was very loud due to poor soundproofing. There were no blackout curtains, which made sleeping difficult. That said, it might suit those who don’t mind an older setting and want to stay close to the Old Town.

The room was spacious, which we appreciated, but overall the stay fell below expectations. It felt more like a business hotel than a holiday one. The bed was hard, breakfast lacked freshness and variety, and the staff weren’t particularly friendly.
