I had a lovely stay at the Grand Hotel Rimini. The location is excellent—right across from the beach and within walking distance to great restaurants, bars, and shops. From the moment I arrived, the service stood out. Staff greeted me at the entrance, opened the doors, and provided valet service. They even took care of my luggage and brought it to the room, which was a nice touch. The hotel’s interior is beautiful and has a charming, historic feel—reminiscent of the Hotel de Paris in Monte Carlo. I booked the most affordable room, which was small and faced the parking lot. While not ideal, it wasn’t a major disappointment given the price. That said, I highly recommend upgrading your room—upgrade prices are quite reasonable, and you’ll get a more spacious room with a much better view. The pool area was peaceful and relaxing, with excellent bar service offering drinks and snacks to enjoy poolside. The hotel amenities were top-notch overall, and the breakfast buffet was delicious with plenty of variety. A solid, elegant stay with great service—I’d definitely return.
I was a bit disappointing in this hotel, I’d love to give it a 5 star as they say they are however I would give it a 3. We arrived and were greeted by a lovely man Vittorio outside, he was the best staff member at the hotel. Staff was very to themselves. The hotel and grounds are beautiful! Beautiful! There was no variety in food. I don’t know where I was? Italy? Felt more like another country. NO Italian food. Not that I only wanted Italian but none. The buffet breakfast served undercooked eggs, no pancakes, no waffles, the breakfast sausage tasted engineered. I tried to find food that I enjoyed, I actually just ate shrimp cocktail. They cleaned our room several times, left the fruit that they offer on the first day with all flies on it, flying around. That we btw did not eat it they just left it old on the dish next to our night table. I was very confused? The area is great! Rimini is beautiful, thank goodness for the restaurants in the strips! Again I think the grounds are beautiful, the hotel is beautiful however the staff and service made me give a 3 star.
The hotel makes a great first impression — an elegant building, stylish lobby. We were warmly welcomed by a courteous staff member at the parking lot, who helped with our luggage and parked the car. The reception was just as friendly. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. The first room was far from a 5-star standard: creaking wardrobe doors, grout painted with gold glitter, a yellowed and mismatched toilet seat, a damaged bathtub with a shower function, and a strong vinegar smell that lingered in the second room we were moved to as well. The bathroom was unpleasant, and staying in the room was very uncomfortable. On the plus side, the polite receptionist offered us another room, with an extra charge of €86, reduced to €80. Still, for that price, the first room should have met the standard in the first place. The beach service was a complete disappointment: €110 per day for two loungers, an umbrella, and towels — the same price even for just 2 hours. We tried to sit for a moment with our own towels, but were asked to leave the front beach row. Even though we were hotel guests, we were told we couldn’t be there without paid loungers — humiliating and frustrating. On the positive side, the parking, reception, and bar staff were very polite and helpful. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the beach personnel. Definitely not deserving of 5 stars. We will not return. It’s a shame there’s no way to request a refund. One big disappointment.
