Grand Hotel Stamary

We stayed at the Grand Hotel Stamary in Zakopane for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The hotel is beautifully maintained and located just a short walk from Krupówki Street, the vibrant main street of Zakopane, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the town. The breakfast buffet was excellent — generous in variety and quality, with both hot and cold options, fresh breads, cheeses, eggs, and local specialties. A perfect way to start a day in the mountains. One of the standout features was the spa area — including a lovely indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, and wellness facilities. It was the perfect place to unwind after a day of walking or sightseeing. Our room was comfortable, spacious, and had a classic charm that fit well with the overall style of the hotel. The service was friendly and professional, and the historic character of the building added a touch of elegance to the whole experience. A highly recommended stay for anyone visiting Zakopane — comfort, location, and relaxation all in one.

Our stay here was booked as part of an HF Holidays walking tour in the Tatras. It is is definitely the best hotel that we have stayed in on any of our HF European trips. Everything about the hotel was Grand. The imposing building itself, perfect for local transport and the town centre; the staff were all friendly and helpful; our room was more of a suite, with a balcony and views up to the mountains; the food was really excellent and the big indoor pool was heaven to float in after a long day's walking. I did not try any of the other spa facilities, but others in our group were very complimentary of these. Strongly recommended.

We were having a problem with our rental car and the staff here was amazing. They called around and found us an appointment with a mechanic. Couldn’t have been more helpful. Love them. Hotel is great. Beautiful patio. Wonderful breakfast. No ac was our only surprise. You can open the doors. We were on a ground level so didn’t want to do that all night due to light and noise but we should have done that earlier to cool the room. Super great location for walking. Again, the staff here is brilliant. Thank you. Thank you!
