Grand Hotel Sunderland

Had a lovely 3 night stay here. We had the standard double room. It was very clean both in the bedroom and the bathroom. And lots of storage space. Very generous tea and coffee tray with biscuits. A buffet breakfast in the morning is extra but its worth it. I'd highly recommend it. The staff we interacted with on the reception desk were absolutely lovely. Same in the restaurant at breakfast. In fact the lovely cleaning staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. All in all we've loved our stay. And now we're hoping to come back in the very near future.

Used the spa deal on wowcher. Parking was great. Took a while to be seen at reception as minimal staff around. Facilities were good -pool, steam room, jacuzzi. The sauna wasn't very hot. Alot of seating to chill out. It wasn't too busy and could use everything we wanted. Need to bring own towel and robe. The changing room were dated but good no token needed to access locker. Will definitely be back

It’s far away from a 4 star or a grand hotel. The whole building needs renovation. The rooms are not up to standard. We were travelling with dogs and got the last room on the ground floor which had no view. Mini bar was not empty no the whole cupboard was closed with some nails. Service was ok especially for the pool - which itself needs of course some fixing. Location is great because of the beach but the hotel is just not worth it.
