Staying at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo was an absolute dream and easily the best hotel experience we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Every staff member was warm, attentive, and made us feel truly special throughout our stay. The hotel itself is stunning, and the views from our lake view balcony were nothing short of breathtaking, it felt like stepping into a real-life postcard. Every detail, from the beautifully designed amenities to the thoughtful touches in the room, made our honeymoon unforgettable. The food was incredible at every restaurant we tried, and it’s clear the hotel takes great pride in creating a memorable guest experience. Even after we checked out, the staff went above and beyond to assist us. All of the trains were suddenly canceled, and we were scrambling to figure out how to reach our next destination. The team stepped in, went the extra mile, and arranged a private car transfer for us. The atmosphere at Grand Hotel Tremezzo is elegant yet welcoming, and we could genuinely feel how much the team cares about every guest. We will absolutely be returning in the future and will be recommending this incredible hotel to all of our friends and family.
Undoubtedly top choice for stay at Lake Como. Classical Italian decor suite with 180-degree unobstructed lake view would remain a good memory for you. The hotel is equipped with plenty of amenities and good restaurants, including a floating pool over the lake. Service is 5 stars.
We stayed in one of the larger rooms (equivalent to a jr suite) for three nights. The room and food in the hotel was fantastic. The views are amazing and the grounds are so beautifully maintained. The only con I have is that some of the hotel staff could use a bit more training on service in a hotel of this caliber. The valet, spa, housekeeping, front desk were all wonderful. They were friendly, attentive, warm and welcoming. They ensured we didn’t have any questions unanswered and even let my son have some playtime in the spa when it wasn’t busy. The hostesses and wait staff in the restaurants and in the bar could be improved a bit. I don’t mean to sound harsh, as it wasn’t bad service it just wasn’t very good either. As a few examples; at dinner the Sommelier couldn’t describe the wines very well and upon choosing one it was way too cold to be served properly (it needed to warm up a bit to be drinkable), our waiter never refilled our wine glasses or water glasses and we had to do it during the entire dinner, and on another occasion at the bar the staff opened the door to the terrace near our table and left it open blowing quite cold air onto us while we had a coffee (he was going outside to sweep). I think with some slight modifications the hotel would have the five star experience along with the accommodations. I am on the fence if I would visit again or maybe just not have dinner on the property.
