Grand Hyatt Berlin

What an amazing end to our vacation! My family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids ages 5-10) enjoyed a 3-night stay at this beautiful hotel at the end of our 2 weeks in Germany. Prior to our stay I communicated with the staff regarding the booking itself and airport transportation, and they were always very responsive. Upon arrival after a long travel day, the staff greeted my children with lollipops, which they loved! (Later in the stay they also got gummi bears!) We had one suite and one king room, both of which were absolutely lovely and well cared for. We took part in the breakfast, which had an amazing spread as well as many menu items we could take part in. Our family also used the room service one night, and we were pleasantly surprised at all the vegetarian and vegan options. Finally, my husband and I used the club lounge and bar, with impeccable service at both. The location of this hotel is also fantastic, with many walkable sites and easy access to public transportation. The staff here really go above and beyond, and it was a very memorable way to end our Germany trip!

I had an amazing stay — everything exceeded expectations! Room: The rooms were spotless with great soundproofing. The bathtub and shower setup felt truly luxurious. Wellness & Amenities: The rooftop pool and spa were the highlight of my trip. I was here on a boys trip, and we made the most of it: gym every day, followed by a dip in the pool, then sauna and cold plunge. The only suggestion I have is that the cold plunge could be cleaned more frequently. Food: The breakfast was outstanding — easily 10/10. Other features: They offer bike rentals, and I was impressed by the quality and safety of the bikes. I’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to others!

The hotel is in a great location with local transport links very close by. The room with a city view was just great. However, there are some issues. The service i felt was a long way off 5 star. Our water was not restocked. You are entitled to 2 bottles a day. However, we had to call down a number of times, and still, it did not arrive. The tea bags were also not restocked, and again, despite calling down, they never arrived. The pool area was good. However, it does get busy, and we only visited once. Its quite small and cold but it's OK. On check out, they didn't even ask how our stay was! It's only little things, and the room was great, but it certainly was not the full 5 star experience. It's like the staff just didn't care.
