Just left a quick Vail getaway with my 3 young adult kids. The resort was perfect…clean, staff were very attentive, nice rooms. It’s a great area and the shuttle was a breeze to get where you needed to go. I really don’t do reviews but felt it a must this time to praise the Valet staff!! Every single valet employee was kind, helpful, proactive and truly made my trip a breeze as I normally don’t ever mess with the car on family trips but my husband was unexpectedly not able to make the trip. They learned who we were by day 2, and were so kind and helpful getting our car in and out for our numerous adventures. Truly, they deserve accolades…each one, a great asset to the resort. Thank you!!
We had an amazing stay at Grand Hyatt Vail! The property is beautiful and located right by the creek with peaceful views and easy access to Vail’s mountain trails. The resort has a very relaxing vibe, and the shuttle service to Vail Village was super convenient. Our room was spacious, clean, and had a cozy feel with a fireplace, balcony and a mountain view. The beds were really comfortable too! We loved the outdoor heated pool and hot tubs perfect after a day of biking around town. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend this resort for couples, families, or anyone looking to unwind in Vail. Can’t wait to come back!
Overall, the hotel meets the standard expectations of a 4-star chain. The property is well-maintained, and both the valet and restaurant staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. However, the room experience left much to be desired. We are a family of four and booked a connecting room for comfort during our stay. Unfortunately, the room assigned to the adults had serious plumbing issues. The shower was completely clogged, and even when not in use, it would randomly back up, creating a foul smell throughout the bathroom. When I brought this issue to the front desk (Robert if I’m not mistaken), their only solution was to send a plumber to fix it during our stay — which was the last thing we wanted while on a 4-day vacation with toddlers. Noise, smell, and people working in our room during our holiday is far from ideal. The concierge informed us there were no other rooms available due to full occupancy and did not offer any alternative solutions or compensation — not even a complimentary breakfast for the inconvenience. His response was essentially: if you don’t want plumbing work happening in your room, then too bad. Disappointed by the lack of service recovery from a hotel of this caliber. While the staff in certain departments were great, the handling of our room issue left us feeling overlooked and dissatisfied.
