A beautiful old hotel in the center of town not far from the train station. Large rooms and a/c. Fun to see the art throughout. Staff was helpful and gracious.
Fabulous 10 days at this 'Belle Epoque' hotel. Big rooms and the most amazing, silent air con which was a treat in 30 degree heat of August and ensures a great night sleep. Fab locale, 5-10 minutes walk gets you to town centre, rail station (10 mins to Monaco, 45 mins to Nice), tons of restaurants, beach, historic 16th century old town. Lovely, friendly staff (multi-lingual). Highly recommended if you are a beach lover and if you like a hotel with personality rather than the corporate box.
The hotel is very old, and the room had dirty, stained bedding. Even when replaced, the new sets were just as bad. The room's curtain was ripped and poorly fitted. The main issue, however, was that the hotel's facade was brightly lit at night, with the lights directed toward the room windows. It felt like daytime inside due to the amount of light shining through.
