My husband and I celebrated our wedding there and we are beyond thankful to Lea and Mathieu for their support in organizing this as well as all the cooks, who prepared delicious food, and the servers who were lovely. I highly recommend, our guests loved it too.
This thermal natural springs and wellness centre offers relaxing and healthy restoration. The natural minerals are meant to soothe muscles, and there are several pools with different temperatures to help the body gradually adjust to increasing temperatures. Compared to other natural springs I have visited, this place has too much chlorine similar to swimming pools, so the quality of the springs is average. The wellness centre is separate and offers many massage options. I found the massage services to be average and disappointing for the high fees they charge. Overall, this is an average wellness centre.
We booked a massage at Grand Hôtel des Bains de Lavey on 26.07.2025. While the location was undeniably beautiful and the initial ambiance promising, the overall wellness experience left much to be desired. Despite requesting a deep massage, the pressure remained light throughout, and I felt unheard. The massage room itself was uncomfortably cold understandable given the rainy weather outside, but disappointing for a spa of this caliber not to ensure thermal comfort. My feet and arms remained freezing, making it impossible to relax. Even the masseuse commented on how cold it was. Moreover, the communication barrier made the experience more stressful than soothing. For a renowned destination that attracts international guests, a basic level of English is not just helpful—it’s essential. I found myself confused and unable to express or understand basic instructions, which is not what one expects in a premium wellness setting. In contrast, my parents-in-law had an excellent experience with their respective therapists. They were satisfied and felt well cared for, which only highlights the inconsistency in service quality. As a guest who chose your hotel based on its strong reputation, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I believe every guest deserves a consistently high-quality standard—especially in wellness services, where comfort, clarity, and customization are key.
