Well both great pick for a place to stay. This majestic hotel gives the air and feel of luxury. The food has been amazing. Although the menu is quite small, there is still a good range of dishes to choose from. Based on the dishes I have tasted, they are all excellent. The service is exemplary and what you would expect from this standard of hotel and restaurant.

It's often considered a pleasant walk to the town. The Not-So-Good: * Value for Money (Subjective): Like many Swiss hotels, the Grand Hôtel can be on the pricier side. While thermal access and overall experience justify the cost, some aspects, like amenities or aspects of the restaurant, are less aligned with the price point. * Can't check-in before 15:00 (3pm). Also there is a 15 CHF surcharge if You wish to use spa before check-in. The location and the room was great but they seem to be horribly understaffed. Service not at all 4 star grand hotel: no filled up room (toilet paper, douche shower gel removed and not replaced, cleaning towel still in room), breakfast buffet chronically empty, had to search for service in bar every night! Moreover, really unhelpful and unfriendly staff (i.e. elevator did not close and made funny noise, passing by staff informed by us - she simply told us to inform the check-in staff although she was walking into that direction herself)!. We knew that they have renovations ongoing but repairs in house starting already at 8 am and the constant noise of the adjacent builders…
