After reading some negative reviews we traveled nervously to this hotel. Upon arrival, everything went really nicely. Ana at the front desk was extremely kind and very helpful. All the staff were. After our four day stay I can't imagine anyone writing a bad review about this place. Maybe there was a bad day but it's much more likely that there were unreasonable guests. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone ✌🏼 Don't believe the bad reviews especially about the breakfast - it's all you could ask for - and more 👍🏼
Lovely staff and hotel location, service is great with delicious breakfast with home cooked food and a lovely view on the mountains. Outside pool is great in the summer, but the indoor pool and spa area can feel a bit claustrophobic with a lack of window, but it’s a very mindful experience without crowds. On the downside, our room came with very small toilets separated from the bathroom, if you are light sensitive the blinds were a bit hard to operate and didn’t fully block the light in the morning, but in winter this isn’t really a problem.
We took an apartment linked to the hotel. The conceirge told us where our room was. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in, but then it became apparent that it was totally lacking in drawers (apart from the bathroom) no hooks anywhere for ski jackets etc. One room had 4 hangers and two shelves in the corridor and the other in the room, so no bedside tables. No loo in the en suites - either along the corridor or downstairs (where the door didn't shut unless you locked in. The boiler didn't work properly as we couldn't all have hot showers and there were only 3 of us when the apartment slept 4. The promised technician never materialised. No welcome pack or instructions about anything/the resort. We ate in the Les Planches restaurant and my husband had quail stir fry and was violently ill due to there being oyster in the sauce (no mention of this on the menu). he is allergic to oysters. No refund as it was our fault for not mentioning it. Not theirs for not putting it on the menu or asking us. They lost our custom for the rest of the week. The location is great
