This was our family’s first vacation here, and overall, we truly enjoyed the experience. What we loved most was the homely atmosphere, excellent service, and the restful environment. The kids had a great time at the pool, and even the strong water pressure was a big plus for us. On the other hand, the cabinet and furniture felt a little outdated. Although we booked a sea-view room, the view was quite distant and there wasn’t really a proper space in the room to enjoy it. Breakfast was average, nothing too special. In short, we had a wonderful stay and would consider coming back again.

Family Stay at Grand Lexis Port Dickson – Comfortable but Room for Improvement We stayed at Grand Lexis Port Dickson and booked a villa with a private pool, which was great for our family of four (2 adults, a 15-year-old teenager, and a 9-year-old child). The private pool inside the villa was a highlight — spacious and enjoyable for the kids. Check-in was smooth and efficient. We were able to park right in front of the hotel and then took the buggy service to our villa. The buggy drivers and overall hotel staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room was nice and comfortable. The beds and pillows were cozy, and the villa had enough space for everyone. However, some parts of the room need maintenance — the window sill had visible dirt, there was some moss on the pool wall, and a broken pool pipe was noticeable. We also found a few hair strands in the washroom, which could have been cleaned better. Buggy pickup times were reasonably fast when requested, which we appreciated. Breakfast was one area that needs improvement. It’s currently free seating, which caused a bit of chaos during the morning rush. Guests were left standing around looking for tables, and some tables weren’t cleaned fast enough for the next group. The food selection was decent but could be improved, especially in terms of crowd management and table turnover. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and loved the villa concept with a private pool. With some improvements to cleanliness and the breakfast arrangement, this place could be even better.

We stayed at the hotel expecting a five-star experience, but unfortunately the service did not meet the standards. On a rainy morning, we requested a buggy ride to the main building for breakfast. After some waiting, we were told the buggy would be delayed due to the weather. That’s understandable — we know rainy days can be busy — so when the rain lightened, we asked if someone could at least send us umbrellas so we could walk over ourselves and avoid adding to the staff's workload. However, we received no assistance or even a reply. (Yes, surprisingly, there were no umbrellas provided in the room — in a five-star hotel.) After waiting for about 45 minutes, we had no choice but to ask our family (who were staying in the main building) to bring umbrellas over. They even had to go to the front desk and plead with the staff just to borrow a few umbrellas, which was quite disappointing for a hotel of this level. Only then could we finally go for breakfast. In addition, be aware that bottled water might be treated as a luxury here — even in a room for four people, only two bottles were provided. On top of that, the overall cleanliness of the room was below expectations and certainly not what you would expect from a hotel claiming five-star standards. For a hotel that charges five-star prices, the service and facilities fell far short of expectations. Just a heads-up for future guests.
