Grand Matlali Riviera Nayarit

Very small resort in the hills. We enjoyed hiking the trail at the resort, and the complimentary 10 minute ride to the beach. The views were really nice. The room was comfortable and larger than we expected. We most appreciated the wait staff and the attention they gave us. Roelof and Argentina always had a smile on their face. They made sure we were taken care of for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food was outstanding, although limited in the selection. We took an excursion to Canopy River Park and rode ATV's, highly recommend.

Wonderful friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food. Very quiet location, which is what we wanted. Shuttle is available to the beach and cart transport around the resort upon request.

Well, this resort is pretty far from everything. So we thought it would be a nice retreat. However, they only have ONE restaurant, and each night is a different meal. You cannot pick from a menu. They had pork last night. Also theres NO room service so we had to carry our plates of food back to the room (uphill and NOT close). The staff use golf carts to get around, if that gives u an idea of the distance required to get your food back to the room. What really pissed me off is that I specifically checked the website for restaurants, and they have multiple listed, but one 1 open. So I felt cheated. Definitely wouldn't book here again. Room was nice, but we had to leave every few hours to go get food, so it was kinda exhausting.
