Grand Mercure is a great choice for anyone visiting Hanoi. The location is excellent—close to the Old Quarter and within easy reach of many key tourist destinations. Plus, the price point is very reasonable for the quality you get. The hotel itself feels very modern and stylish, with a clean, contemporary design that’s both comfortable and inviting. The food was delicious, though the buffet had fewer choices compared to other hotels we stayed at. Still, the quality definitely made up for the quantity. One of the highlights was the staff—they were extremely nice and hospitable, always greeting us with a warm smile and helpful attitude. It made our stay feel genuinely welcoming. Overall, a solid pick for a modern, comfortable stay in a central location. Would definitely come back when I visit Vietnam in the future. PS: Our room’s sink takes awhile to drain. Other than that, everything is perfect.
Overall, a great experience. The hotel offers stunning views of the city, both from the room and the rooftop. Everything feels fresh and modern, with excellent facilities throughout. The gym is well-equipped, and the rooftop pool overlooking the entire city is a highlight. I had a great session with a coach named Quality, who was attentive and shared valuable insights during the workout. The breakfast buffet features a wide variety of options, and the staff were warm and attentive. A young pastry chef in the kitchen was especially kind to me, though I unfortunately didn’t catch her name.
We were only able to spend one night here but it was lovely. The room was clean and comfortable and even had a few fresh roses! We loved the control panel for the air conditioning and the buttons by the door for do not disturb or maid service. The executive lounge was quiet and lovely. The restaurant was great; we ordered cocktails and a pizza to split. We were pretty relaxed and not paying attention to the time so at one point the manager came over to apologize for the wait, that there was a problem with our pizza and the kitchen needed to make another. We were having a good time so we were very unfazed , not a problem. The manager offered an appetizer but we declined because we weren’t that hungry so he offered us another round of cocktails instead! This was a fun surprise, we gladly took that offer (my husband really loved the Orange Gin & Tonic). Once our pizza came it was delicious! Breakfast in the morning was very nice with lots of options. Overall we had a tip top experience!
