Grand Mercure Recife Boa Viagem

The rooms was good but the corner of glass on the shower was liking in both rooms I stayed and the drainers were clogged. I addressed the problem, maintenance came but didn’t fix the problem. Breakfast was fresh and a good amount of variety. Very good team over there. The best part was to meet Suani, Sr. Franscisco and our Aufitrião Xodó. Suani and Sr. Franscisco always go beyond and above to make sure you have a great experience. Very happy to have them during my stay of 19 nights. They are the best! Xodó is very cute and welcoming. A wonderful example that Accor gave to other hotels and the world by rescuing a little puppy with no hope and no one, who lived on the streets without knowing when he would have his next meal and love. May the Accor chain continue to spread love to others and bring many smiles. Congratulations to everyone involved. I'm going to São Paulo for 15 days at the end of July and I'll definitely stay at an Accor hotel. I'm a fan of Accor.

This place is not so grand. We paid extra for a premium room and were surprised to find how tired and distressed our room was. Warped and falling apart furniture, beds that were hard and uncomfortable, an air conditioner that was like a rolling thunder all night. The restaurant is average at best and the area is not charming at all. The only thing that was slightly redeeming was the breakfast buffet which was plentiful and good quality.

Pretty poor hotel overall. For other parts of Recife it was good and perhaps the better / best option. By normal standards it’s dated, poor quality and expensive for what it is. Breakfast was great however, as per most Brazilian hotels. The pool looked decent too.
