Grand Mercure SP Itaim Bibi

Lovely hotel and perfectly located. The bed was incredibly comfy, and we really enjoyed the L'Occitane au Brésil products in the bathroom... a nice touch! A couple of small things that bothered us: the scent in the lobby is far too strong, it’s so overpowering that I didn’t even feel like sitting there. Also, the soundproofing of the windows could be improved; we could hear all the outside noise.

Room was clean and the bed comfortable, plenty of pillows, clean towels, iron, safe, drinking water etc. Great environmental plan with water refills. Noise from nearby building works didn't disturb me. Shower had 4 taps and a mystery as to what they did, I was able to work out the main 2 taps (hot and cold water). Breakfast options were slightly limited - no toaster, baked beans, mushrooms, cooked tomatoes. Bar - could be located in a nicer space and needs a solution to mosquitoes in the area.

I chose the hotel due to it being on a safe area and being a Grand Mercure. We were on the 3rd floor, sound isolation was miserable and I heard construction every day, including Sunday. The balcony windows did not close. The hallway smelled of marijuana 2 days. So not impressed.
