Grand Mirage Resort & Thalasso Bali

We stayed at the Grand Mirage for 5 nights with my 5 & 2 year old. The hospitality we received was beyond amazing. The resort is wonderful for kids, with kids splash area, kids indoor centre and activities, various pools and beach. The lazy river was our favourite, such a fun activity to do with the family. The infinity pool was also beautiful. The room was very comfortable for four of us and lovely bathroom too. They also, gave us a room as we had checked out but still used the facilities. So we were able to shower and get ready before heading to the airport. We really appreciated the lovely staff there. Thank you so much for making our stay wonderful.

We just returned from a wonderful week away at the Grand Mirage Family Paradise. The staff are amazing there, so polite and helpful and friendly. The facilities were amazing for our kids (8 & 11). They loved the water slide and kids club. The air conditioning was a little strong and cold for us in our room being Queenslander's - was always set at 17! We tried to adjust it but it seems it might be automatically set. That was probably the only thing that bothered us while there. Not a big complaint as we spent so much time by the pools and exploring anyway. We had a wonderful time and the location is perfect to explore a bit of the local area but also have a wonderful resort to go 'home' to. The dinner and fire show were pretty amazing as well. The staff obviously work very hard as the resort was looking well maintained and very clean as well. We would come back again for sure.

One star only for the location and the private beach access, other than that there’s nothing great about this resort. We tried the a la carte menu and that was okayish, nothing exceptionally good about it. The breakfast menu has a lot of variety but only a few handful are good in taste. Coming to the service, we had booked an ocean view double bed room and the person at the reception (Wira Adi) gave us a garden view twin bed room. Had to highlight that at the reception and then he allotted us another room which again was not the one we booked but had a double bed and it was already night 11pm with all this hassle, hence we had no choice but to accept this. The room we booked was listed at a higher price than the one we were allotted, we got to know and understand all of this post our 3 days stay out of 5. The only selling point of this hotel is their location, but trust me there are better and cheaper options with better service having the same beach access. Given the price we paid here for an old room, with no smart TV, broken toilet seat and later got to know that there are better rooms but they did not allot them. There are better options here in Nusa Dua, please go for them 🙏🏻. I see I am not the one who has faced this issue but there’s an older review as well where they were given old rooms and then upgraded post reviews, so seems like this is their usual nature of handling things This was my first visit to Bali and truly disheartened by the stay. Won’t be staying here again!!
