Grand Mutiara

Walk-in overnight due to a closed road by traffic accident. Rooms poorly maintained, as the hotel itself Pool had very dirty water. Breakfast was OK

I stayed at Grand Mutiara Hotel for 2 nights on a business trip, and here's my take.. First impressions? Pretty decent, especially since I arrived close to midnight. But then nature called, and I ventured into the restroom near the lobby. I passed through a pitch-dark hallway cluttered with old, broken furniture. The deeper I went, the dirtier it got. By the time I reached the restroom, it was like walking into a horror movie set: messy, no running water, and definitely not what I had in mind. Entering my room, I could tell this place had its glory days. Spacious, yes, but it felt like stepping back in time. The bathroom? A nightmare.. Dirty, slippery floor, and the toilet setup was so cramped I practically hugged the wall. I couldn't get out fast enough. The terrace? Oh, it had a view alright..of an abandoned, spooky building that made me question my life choices. On the bright side, the AC worked well, the fridge was cold, but the water heater was playing hard to get. Despite all this, the hotel has massive potential, just sorely neglected. Cobwebs in the room, dirty floors, and old furniture piled up in the lobby screamed mismanagement. Even the morning mopping effort was more slapstick comedy than cleanliness. With proper care, this hotel could be a gem, maybe even the best in Bontang. But for now, it's more of a ghost story setting, complete with spooky tales from our driver. Grand Mutiara Hotel, you could’ve been great, but you left me wishing for an exorcist instead of a room service menu

This hotel is like abandoned property! Leaks everywhere, poor cleanliness, room facilities are so poor, water is murky. Really need major improvement on the facility, lack of staff although they are trying to do their best possible. Good thing is WiFi connection is quite good.
