⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Stylish comfort in the heart of Ljubljana – with castle views! Our stay at the Hotel Grand Plaza in Ljubljana was a real pleasure. The location is fantastic—right in the city center and just a short walk from the old town. The rooms are modern, clean, and offer beautiful views of Ljubljana Castle, especially from the higher floors. The breakfast selection was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options. It does get quite crowded during peak hours, but the friendly staff keeps everything running smoothly. What’s also great is the proximity to the InterContinental Hotel, just around the corner, where we enjoyed a drink at their rooftop bar and dined at their Michelin-starred restaurant—a perfect evening complement to our stay. Overall, Hotel Grand Plaza is a top choice for anyone visiting Ljubljana: comfortable, stylish, and ideally located for both business and leasure.

I wish I could have stayed here longer 😩 Professionalism mixed with kindness from the front office staff, ultra clean room and a 12/10 for the breakfast buffet. My room was on the 19th floor, which did have a stunning view. Initially booked this hotel for the decent gym, but got so much more. Keep doing what you’re doing, it works 🫶🏽

Last year, during a trip to Ljubljana, I spotted the Grand Plaza Hotel at night and instantly put it on my bucket list. From the outside, you can already sense the luxury, the space, and the comfort inside. This year, I had the chance to enjoy a two-day stop in Ljubljana, and I took the opportunity to book a night in this hotel. I was not disappointed. It’s not cheap, especially if you choose the junior suite, but the service is truly worthy of 5 stars. The check-in process is incredibly smooth. The valet parking is super efficient: they quickly help you unload your car, park it for you, and bring it back whenever you need it. Your bags are delivered directly to your room, so you arrive with nothing to worry about. You just hand over your keys, and everything is taken care of. Once you get used to this, it feels strange when the next hotel doesn’t offer it. The rooms are spacious, beautifully designed, and the beds are exceptionally comfortable, just like the pillows. The TV is internet-connected, and while there is no Netflix or Amazon Prime, there is YouTube, where you can connect your own account in just a couple of minutes using your phone. It’s quick, easy, and very convenient. If I really had to find one small downside, it’s that the bathroom towels weren’t as soft as I’d like, but that’s a minor detail compared to everything else. The view over the city is lovely, and the breakfast is simply outstanding: a buffet with everything you can think of, all made with good quality ingredients.The service is excellent at every level. Whatever you need, the staff will do their best to find a solution, and everyone is genuinely friendly. In the middle of summer, it is expensive, but with its perfect location, just a short walk from the city center and all the main attractions.
