Grand Ser Hotel

Run down, 40 shades of brown, roadside hotel with the smell of a smokey pub. The Grand Ser hotel looked like the best Yozgat had to offer, which mostly speaks to the sad state of affairs in Turkey’s most ridiculed town. The hotel room was big, and that’s the one nice thing to say about it. The entire interior of the hotel is 40 shades of brown and smells like a fire place or one of those pre-smoking ban pubs. In part because you are allowed to smoke in the hotel (and people do) and in part because the town runs on coal and wood for heating. The smoke made it hard to get a good night sleep. The food was fine if incredibly precooked, like everything from the soup to the dessert was made with insta-noodle comfort in mind. The taste was accordingly. The hotel is lit with blue lamps, reminding me of the MacDonalds in my home town (although I feel they were going for Disney and not a Donald vibe, with limited success). All of this to say— wouldn’t highly recommend.

Me and my husband stayed for only 2 nights on this hotel , maintenance is Zero , on 2 days we had to change our room twice , all 3 rooms have : carpets are filthy , full of stains and dirty spots , not vacuumed , I requested room service to vacuum but no one showed up ) , room phones not working so you can not communicate with front desk or anything else , bath towels are so old and bad condition, dirty , we had to go down stairs to ask for shampoo , conditioner and extra pillows The big disaster that when we were switched to a different room the A/C was not working and manger does not know anything about it same time no technician is available to fix it . After about 2 hours of waiting we were switched ti a different room with filthy bathroom : ceiling is covered by rusted metal ???never seen this on my entire traveling around the word , bath tub is stained with rust , bath tub very old style so difficult and unsafe to get in , bath tub leaks water to the bathroom floor We had really very awful experience with this hotel , we do not recommend it for anyone This hotel should be rated as Zero stars NOT 4 stars as it says at the hotel’s entrance and it appears on hotels . com

Air conditioning not working at all, we paid an expensive amount for a room with no air conditioning, pillows without covers, it was really hot, dirty beds, and dirty toilets NEVER AGAIN, I do not recommend , any other 2 star hotel would be better
