Fantastic hotel in a very central location. I had one of the named suites at the hotel, so the decor is not reflective of a standard room. The room was comfy clean and the bed was heavenly to sleep on. The shower attachments (both top and bottom) do require cleaning / replacement, but that is a minor point for the hotel to pay attention to. The breakfast was tasty and plenty of choice and customer service was excellent.
We came here via Tauck touring for one night. Very quiet, pleasant atmosphere. Concierge enthusiastically got us reservation in a small "local" restaurant which readily prepared my food vegan. (Trattoria Canuleia). Room was smallish. Bathroom elegant. AC was QUIET. (One of my most important ranking qualities) Location awesome. City very walkable especially on top of the wall around it.
This is a gorgeous, centrally located, historic hotel. The room was large but as typical with many hotels in Italy, there was a paucity of places to unpack and hang things. It had a small armoire, but it didn't hold much so again we were back to living out of our suitcases for a few days. Still, this was a really marvelous hotel. The service was exceptional. The dining room is also spectacular along with the food!
