Grande Albergo Internazionale

Beautiful place to be but somebody from the States loves to have circulation of air and would of love to have had a fan or air conditioning in the room. The view is incredible the location is perfect and it is a delightful place to be in Brindisi

A historic hotel in an excellent location in Brindisi. The ideal hotel for a day or two in this relatively small, historic town, a ten minute taxi ride from the busy airport. All the sights are in walking distance as is the main shopping area and the harbor. The street in front has no cars (taxis can pass). Sometimes, large yachts stay overnight at the pier in front, great for people watching and many restaurants/bars are just steps away. Same for the ferry that crosses the harbor. The hotel rooms are a bit dated with classic furniture, but clean and everything works, including the air con. Try to get a room with harbor view. Service is friendly and breakfast ok, although a bit basic - well, that's Italy.

I was there for 2 nights on business. The room mini bar/ small fridge was not working. I was given the option to change rooms but the 3 other rooms I tried, it was the same. No mini bar. Air conditioning was not working. At reception they told me I had to request every day to turn on the room air conditioning but whatever temperature I selected, the room was too hot I tried to ask for ice (to put in the Coke that was warm in the mini bar but there is no service after 1800. Never again in this hotel.
