On a chilly May night we had the pleasure of staying here. On check in the staff were friendly and accommodating. The little cabin in the bush, while basic, is rustic and homely. The fire lit fine with little smoke. Dinner was delicious with fast and friendly service. The price was reasonable for a big 3-course meal. Cheesecake was excellent. All in all, I'm happy we're here. It's now raining and cold outside but toasty warm and romantic here in front of the fire .
A spectacular retreat. Get away from the busy cities the bright lights and take a nice deep breath and relax. The cabins are incredibly comfortable, with the wood burners easy to use and very warm during the cold seasons. The continental breakfast is nice and simple, and very accommodating towards people with gluten and dairy intolerances, much like the lunch and dinner menus. The restaurant is only open from Friday to Monday, and is highly recommended. My friend who needs to eat strictly gluten and dairy free, felt spoilt for choice. The restaurant is only open from Friday to Monday. Seriously, cannot recommend the restaurant enough. Nowadays, everywhere you go the prices are crazy and they're barely filling. But here? The prices are very good for what you get, you may even struggle to finish your dishes with these serving sizes! There's wild kangaroos which can be spotted throughout the property, and a wild mallard named Cheese, for whom you can get a free bag of food from reception to feed him. For anyone addicted to their electronic devices, the wifi and phone reception are very spotty around the cabins, however depending on your service provider, you'll get very good reception near the restaurant. The accommodation is dog friendly, but please be sure to check with the friendly staff beforehand. Which btw, the staff are INCREDIBLY nice and very informative. They speak to their customers with a sense of familiarity and respect which will help you feel completely at home, and will do their best to answer any questions you have. 5/5, highly recommend, will go again. P.s. the tv in the cabins have a dvd player in them, so if you want, you can either bring your own dvds, of borrow some from reception if you feel like doing a movie night. P.p.s. I accidentally wrote "Merlot" in the photo of the two small drinks like an idiot. It isn't merlot, it's PORT! And some mighty fine port at that!
Beautiful country cabin retreat. Quiet location, quaint rustic cabins with log fire. Beds were basic , same for the couch and other furniture needs replacement. Staff were amazing and very helpful. Dinner in the restaurant was top notch. Enjoyed tasting paddle of beer & cider with an antipasto board. Would definitely stay again as quiet location out of town and walking distance for breakfast & dinner.
