Gravetye Manor

A good pick for a special occasion. The food and the service both show much attention to detail, and the setting is lovely, both the building and the grounds. It's expensive. However, considering how much skill has gone into preparation and presentation, and to good effect, it also offers value. Pro tip: lunch is less pricey than dinner, and the menu is almost the same. There are large gorgeous gardens - well worth planning on spending a bit of time to have a stroll, or even trying to book onto a garden tour (which is usually sold out, so you need to get your skates on to try to plan that).

Stunning venue with amazing grounds and views. The staff are attentive and food is gorgeous! Would definitely recommend for a special occasion, or just an afternoon coffee and pastries in the garden. Will definitely be going back in the future

We had a truly wonderful stay at Gravetye. It is an amazing location, calm peaceful with beautiful gardens, a real haven of peace. The manor itself is a historical timepiece and our room was perfect, spacious with a fantastic view of the gardens. The dining experience was a real treat - it has a Michelin star for a very good reason. But above all what made this experience so good was the people - everyone was polite, welcoming & friendly without it being overly formal or stuffy in any way. The attention to detail was superb, they thought of everything and nothing was too much trouble. I cannot recommend it too highly. A sincere thanks to everyone that makes this what it is.
