Great Roots Forestry Spa Resort

A relaxing getaway spot near Taipei that’s perfect for meetings. It features hot spring facilities, its own forest for a refreshing nature bath, and a comfortable, soothing environment. The Chinese restaurant is excellent, and the rooms, especially the Japanese-style ones, are delightful. It’s an ideal place to unwind, enjoy good food, and have a drink in a joyful setting.

It was really amazing to stay here. We booked for 8 nichts anderes enjoyed every day. Many Thanks to Marceline Chen and Johnson, the young men, which is at the reception. The both were so kind and helpful.

Stayed there on the weekend of Feb 7th. Nice location with plenty of paths and the spa area was great. Unfortunately the rooms left a lot to be desired. We had two small children (6months and 2 years) and the hotel refuses to turn any type of heating on in the room. The room was 16-17 degrees Celsius all night! Both of my kids are now sick only a few days later 🤒. Hotel offered more blankets….which does not help at all if you are not laying down asleep. Imagine trying to keep a blanket on a 6 month old or 2 year old who rolls around. Getting out of the shower you were immediately frozen and uncomfortable. The dinner buffet was average with limited options. You were able to order one main course each in addition and those were very good. Problem is that ours took nearly 60 minutes to arrive. By that time we had already eaten at the buffet. Service could be dramatically improved. As a 4-star hotel it is simply incredible that you would only enable the air conditioning function and not the heating function for the rooms. Very petty!
