Great Southern Killarney

I highly recommend the Great Southern Hotel. Our two-bedroom suite was perfect for our family; one room had a comfortable king-size bed, while the other was ideal for our seven-year-old son with a bunk bed. The hospitality at this hotel was second to none. The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We particularly loved the breakfast each morning in the great room. The food was absolutely amazing and they kept it constantly replenished, which we really appreciated. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely stay here again.

A truly exceptional stay – A home away from home We have visited Ireland and Killarney several times before, but never have we been welcomed and cared for as warmly as at the Great Southern Killarney. From the moment we arrived, we were deeply impressed by the beauty and elegance of the hotel – it’s a truly special place, full of charm and history. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the outstanding kindness and service of the entire team. Every member of staff was not only professional but genuinely warm, attentive, and caring. We felt seen and appreciated throughout our stay. A special highlight was the thoughtful surprise for a birthday in our family – we returned to our room to find a beautiful display with a card and fresh fruit. Later, at the restaurant, a lovely birthday cake was brought out – something I had discussed in advance, but it was handled with such genuine friendliness and a clear desire to make everything perfect. It exceeded our expectations. Our children were treated with such patience, friendliness, and care – they felt completely at ease, and so did we. It’s rare to experience such a consistent level of thoughtful hospitality. Leaving was truly difficult. We felt a deep connection to the staff – they have truly grown dear to us. We can’t wait to return “home” to the Great Southern Killarney. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

The Great Southern is a class act hotel! We had no idea we were stepping into such a beautiful hotel steeped in local history. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like royalty, including the upgrade they gave us that we didn’t even ask for! Beautiful and large suite. Lovely grounds. Beautiful bar and lobby. Flowers filling the air with scents. Fantastic location. Very good breakfast. We would go back in a heartbeat!
