Friendly staff, clean room and good room amenities. Good sound proofing from street outside. Very handy for attractions done within walking distance. Liverpool Street station just round the corner. Plenty good places near by for night time. Marks and Spencer’s across the road for room snacks. Comfy bed.
Great hotel in a perfect location — everything is nearby and easily accessible, whether you’re heading to the city center or exploring the sights. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained — a lovely place to come back to after a day out. I especially want to highlight the excellent service from Akhil at the reception. He was incredibly polite, helpful, and attentive — always ready to assist and make guests feel welcome. Thanks for the wonderful stay! Highly recommended.
I want to share my experience with Great St Helen’s hotel so others can be aware before booking. The location itself is fine, but everything else about my stay was extremely disappointing and frustrating. •Rigid and unfair policies: If you miss your dates and want to change to a lower-priced date, they will not refund you the difference. You will pay the original amount regardless. If you upgrade, you must pay more. •Poor room conditions: The toilet flush in my room did not work. When I asked management to fix it or change my room, their response was simply, “use the staff toilet.” This is completely unacceptable for any guest. •Basic amenities not functioning: Even to use the air conditioner, you have to specifically request it—nothing is prepared or ready for your comfort. •Unhelpful staff: My concerns were dismissed, and there was no effort to resolve issues or offer solutions beyond the bare minimum. Bottom line: This hotel is not worth the stress or the money. The management does not care about guest experience, the facilities are poorly maintained, and policies are unfair. For your own peace of mind and comfort, I strongly recommend avoiding Great St Helen’s Hotel. There are far better options available in the same area that actually respect and value their guests.
