Grecotel Larissa Imperial

This is our destination Hotel each time we vacation in Larissa Greece from our home in Australia. The location is perfect with fantastic panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Access to the city of Larissa is just a short drive or reasonable walk distance away. The Hotel staff are very friendly, welcoming and really care for you during the time you stay at the hotel. The hotel has a great pool, spa and other amenities which we highly recommend it to anyone.

The stuff and service in this hotel hit high. The stuff is not just polite, is supportive throughout the stay. The swimming pool area offers calm moments during late evenings. The restaurant has a good selection of dishes and a rich selection of drinks. The restaurant offers a lovely kids menu where chicken nuggets and burgers are true meat and not pre-cooked. The hotel has also two kids play rooms. One place for toddlers full of toys and the other for older kids to watch movies or play games. Breakfast was smartly designed to satisfy all appetites. It was a short bur memorable stay for our family

Larissa is very hot in the summer and we specifically picked the Grecotel in Larissa for the 2 nights we were there because we wanted a pool and activities for the kids. Grecotel was a great disappointment. First, this is by no stretch a 5 Star hotel. The rooms need to be renovated, the bath drain was blocked, there were rust stains in the bathrooms, the amenities were not great, stray cats everywhere, the gardens were not maintained but above all, they did not have a life guard on duty and for that reason only opened the pool from noon to 8pm. When we asked if the kids could play tennis until the pool opened they said the courts were being renovated! Nothing was in working order! Unacceptable for a 5- star hotel. While the staff were polite, it was not a good experience and I can absolutely not rate this hotel as 5 star on any level. It needs a desperate re-do!
